iPhone and iPad owners warned against increased security risks

iPhone and iPad owners are being warned against increased security risks after a rise in phishing campaigns for personal data.

Kaspersky Lab is advising iOS device users to be extra cautious when inputting their personal data after a huge increase in phishing campaigns stealing iCloud and iTunes user account information including credit card details.

The number of phishing scams involving unofficial copies of Apple.com has spiked since 2012. In 2011 Kaspersky registered around 1,000 attempts to phish for personal info in this way, but now this figure has risen to a daily average of around 200,000.

The attack attempts by cybercriminals on iOS users include sending them emails supposedly from service@apple.com or the Apple Customer Support team. They will feature the Apple logo, be professionally written or even include links to the Apple FAQ pages to make them appear legitimate.

Within these emails though are fake Apple website links that request personal and credit card details from the user, which is then stolen by the phishing campaign.

In order to detect whether a site is authentic, users are advised to check the full address of the given site in the browser address bar. The fake ones will often include apple.com but the full link will give away hints that reveal its real identity.

However, iPhones and iPads have been targeted because the mobile version of Apple’s Safari browser hides the address bar away.

iPhone and iPad users can protect themselves by only opening site links that they can see the full website address.

Apple also offers a two-step authentication process to protect its customers against such attacks, which involves sending a four-digit code to one or more devices registered to the user’s Apple ID.

How to unlock bootloader and root Motorola Moto G

Did you get Samsung Google Motorola Moto G? Thats great because this device is having nice specifications, but what about rooting it? Then it will be ICING ON THE CAKE! Then, you can try hundreds of things that only rooted users can get on Android. I know you might be thinking of the risk, then I must tell you that this is a very simple and a noob-proof guide. Anyone can do this. You  just require some basic things like ADB (to reboot, if you dont know how to reboot it to bootloader/fastboot) and a computer, and fastboot for unlocking the bootloader. After the bootloader is unlocked, we can proceed to our main guide, i.e. How To Root Motorola Moto G. Without rooting you cannot enjoy the Android device. In my home, every device is rooted and thats fun because after that I can run the games flawlessly on some of my old devices like Micromax A87 Ninja 4.0, my other devices are high-end but still, I enjoy some applications like Xposed Module Installer with cool mods like Gravity Box, Xprivacy etc. Not only Xposed, there are many many things which will make your Android device best in your friends!
The device is high-end with some bright specifications like Quad Core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A5 Cortex-A7, GPU: Adreno 305, Snapdragon 400 Qualcomm chipset, 1 GB RAM, 4.5 inch IPS LCD DIsplay and thats all for rupees 11158 (180$). That is cool, but you know that you can try some damn cool ROMs like CyanogenMod 11 (let developers build it first, thats the best ROM, believe me.) etc.
Rooting simply means getting superuser permissions so you can edit the main system files (like System and Data). As I said, rooting is just easy. Just some commands to unlock bootloader and a script and woh! its rooted. It wont take more than 10 minutes to unlock the bootloader and root it.
The device has already got Android 4.4 Kit Kat update, and thats the best thing about Motorola, not like Samsung! Samsung usually releases update after more than 1-4 months of the release of the Android update which users can already get by Custom ROMs.
I know you are thinking, that the device has excellent specifications then why do I root it?  I know it happens. I also got Samsung Galaxy S3 and I was also in same situation but finally I ended up in rooting it in less than 1 day after buying it and installed Custom ROMs! Anyway, its your wish to root it or not. I must proceed with this guide:

Things required to root Motorola Moto G:

  • ADB and Fastboot: You can get this easily from the internet but they are of huge size but I have compressed it for you, and thats only for 500 KB! Original size is more than 400 MB actually, so simply download it from here: Click HERE to download my compressed ADB and Fastboot.
  • A computer: You just need it to use ADB and Fastboot.
  • USB Drivers: Click here to download them from the official Motorola website. Just install them and accept all the warnings!
  • USB Debugging: Go to Settings>About Phone and tap on Build Number 7 times so it will enable Developer Options. Click back and there will be a new option Developer options there. Open it, enable it and enable USB Debugging too.
How To Unlock Bootloader of Motorola Moto G to root it:

  • Unzip the ADB and Fastboot which you recently downloaded to your computer.
  • Press and hold Shift and press Right Click on the folder in which you extracted the files. Now click on the Open command window here option.
  • CMD will open soon. Type fastboot oem get_unlock_data and press enter.

  • Open This webpage and enter your email ID and sign in. There enter your Bootloader details which you got from the CMD. ENSURE THAT YOU DONT ADD ANY SPACE IN THE CHARACTERS.
    It will be like this:
    <bootloader> IHJFDHUDHDSUFHSUFHDSFIGHFIGHI
    <bootloader> HDUFHUFGHFUGHFUGHFUGHFUGHF
    <bootloader HUHGFUGHFUGHFUGHFIGHFIGHFIGH
In the website enter IHJFDHUDHDSUFHSUFHDSFIGHFIGHIHDUFHUFGHFUGHFUGHFUGHFUGHFHUHGFUGHFUGHFUGHFIGHFIGHFIGH. I hope you got that.
  • Click on Can my device be unlocked? and click on I agree on the bottom of it.

  • Now open the email which you registered with Motorola and you will get a code in it.
  • Copy the code and open the command prompt window.
  • Type "fastboot oem unlock YOUR 20 DIGIT CODE HERE" and press enter.
  • Wait few seconds and it will reboot itself.
  • Done.
Now lets see how you can root this device.

How To Root Motorola Moto G after unlocking bootloader:

  • Switch off your device after the reboot.
  • Press and hold Power button + Volume Down buttons simultaneously for some time until the screen glows.
  • Now you will be in the Bootloader mode.
  • Connect it to PC again via USB cable.
  • Download the superbooting tool. (Link provided in the downloads.)
  • Double click on superboot-windows.bat file.

  • It will root your unlocked device soon and will reboot itself.
  • Done.

Nexus 4 7 and 10 gets Android 4 4 Features and Tricks!

Hey friends, excited for the new Android KitKat 4.4? Hope you are. KitKat is Android 4.4 Operating System for Mobile phones. KitKat has a whole new redefined UI and many other tweaks that are stuffed into the ROM! The factory images are out [for Nexus 4, 7 etc.] but OTA is the easiest way to update your device without any risk. Nexus 7 has many models like WiFi 1st Gen, 2nd Gen. Fortunately you can update your any Nexus 7 to Android 4.4 KitKat! Some Android Tabs might not receive the updates for examples my many friends said that they didnt receive KitKat update in their Nexus 7 Tab. You can still root your device and install the update by flashing ClockWorkMod Recovery and flashing the ROM into your device.
Android 4.4 is having many updates, as I said before. You get these features in KitKat update:

  • Video Recorder- Record a video of your whole screen! Till Android 4.2/4.3, you could only capture a screenshot of your screen but in 4.4 you can record the video of your screen and thats a great feature. YouTubers will enjoy this feature, for sure.
  • Great and new UI- If you ever used Android 4.1/4.2/4.3 Android device you might know that all the Jelly Beans OS had almost same UI. But in Android 4.4, the launcher is customized, and looks very beautiful! Some popups effects has been added into it and the Notification bars color has been edited and it looks transparent now.

  • Not using NFC? Switch it off- Now, you can save your battery by turning of the NFC feature in your Nexus. Till 4.3, you could not turn off this feature but now in 4.4 you can.
  • New and super cool boot animation- Are you bored of that crap boot screen of your Nexus Tab or Nexus 4? No worries! now you get crispy KitKat Boot Animation.

  • Better Graphics and visual effects- You hate that crappy notification bar while playing games? In Android 4.4, you get full screen on your games, applications and other utilities. With that, you get good animations too.

  • Performance- We all know that Android 4.1/4.2/4.3 are bit slow on devices with 512 MB RAM. Now, you can run KitKat on 512 MB RAM too! The OS is very faster as compared to Jelly Bean OS.
  • Cloud Printing- Now your Nexus 7 can print pictures, documents, text and other things by connecting your PC to Nexus 7 via Bluetooth.
  • Smart Called ID- The calling screen of the 4.4 KitKat is very attractive. For example, you get a call from a company, KitKat will locate the number and see the location of the organisation from where you get the call. I didnt mean that it will give you the location of that person, it will just tell you from which organisation the number is registered.

  • Hangouts 2- Google was not updating Messages application till now but now you can use Hangouts 2 in your Messages too! Hangouts gets a update and its now Hangouts 2.

  • Photo editor- Adjust the brightness, contrast and saturation of the pictures. Not only this! You get many more features in the Photo editor of KitKat!
There are lots more updates in Android 4.4 KitKat and I cannot type that much long! So try yourself and comment here what you found interesting in KitKat.

Samsung Galaxy S5 not Samsung’s main focus for 2014 reports claim

The Samsung Galaxy S5 release date might be just a matter of months away, but latest reports have suggested the new flagship phone will not be Samsung’s main focus in 2014.

With Samsung’s growth in the premium smartphone sector slowing, reports out of the company’s native Korea have hinted that 2014 will see the manufacturer refocus its efforts on the tablet sector, as well as boosting its entry-level and mid-range handset offerings.

Although the Samsung Galaxy S5, a handset expected to be announced during the first quarter of the coming year, will certainly be a key launch for the company, it is believed that tablets will take priority in 2014, with the manufacturer set to further rival the new iPad Air and iPad mini 2.

With the current Samsung Galaxy S4 having reaffirmed the manufacturer’s footing as a lead smartphone player, shifting more than 40 million units to date, Samsung is expected to sell some 360 million smartphone next year.

Although this figure is a staggeringly high one, it marks Samsung’s lowest year-on-year growth in the smartphone scene for some time. Of the 360 million handsets, just 35 per cent are expected to be premium, high-end models such as the Samsung Galaxy S5 or the next Note branded handset.

Highlighting the company’s growing tablet push, recent reports have hinted that a 12.2-inch Samsung Galaxy Note tablet will be introduced during MWC 2014, while an even larger 13.3-inch model will land later in the year.

Despite the Samsung Galaxy S5 not being Samsung’s lead focus for 2014, it is sure to be the device which takes much of the consumer attention, with a range of Samsung Galaxy S5 rumours already doing the rounds.

Recent Samsung Galaxy S5 rumours have pointed at the handset running a new, premium metal bodied design alongside an iPhone 5S mimicking 64-bit processor and improved camera optics.

Moto X caught on video and with Eric Schmidt

Update: After the Moto X was spotted in a video earlier today, the upcoming Motorola smartphone has also been papped being used by Eric Schmidt.
The Google chief executive was snapped using the unknown Motorola smartphone that looks exceedingly similar to the leaked rear shot of the Moto X that emerged earlier and can be seen below.

Whats new in the shot of Schmidt with the Moto X is the checkerboard effect on the rear of the smartphone.

It looks like the smartphones rear panel will be made from a solid, matte plastic rather than the shiny version adopted by smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S4 that cheapens the feel of the handset.

Original Story:

The Moto X has been caught on video in the hands of a top Motorola executive showcasing the smartphone in the flesh for the first time.

The video was posted on Robert Scoble’s Google Plus account and was taken at an exclusive gathering organised by new Motorola employee Guy Kawasaki, previously thought to be the official launch of the Moto X before that rumour was debunked by Motorola.

In his video of the party he filmed using Google Glass, Scoble managed to catch the Moto X in the hands of the Senior Vice President for Product Management at Motorola, Rick Osterloh.

Now, while we only get a brief glimpse of the Moto X the smartphone seen does tally with the Moto X phone images leaked earlier this month that also showed the rear of the device.

It also looks to have the same curved rear back that is showcased in the latest leaked picture of a fully assembled Moto X that emerged today and is included below.

It has quite a large camera sensor, a flash and below that an embossed Motorola M logo. It also seems to have a rubberised matte finish on the rear, complementing the gloss plastic front panel of the device spotted in the Moto X Clear Pixel camera spec leak.

The Moto X is tipped to have a 4.7-inch 1280 x 768p resolution display, powered by a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU.

Potentially running a very close to stock version of Android 4.3, the Moto X is said to focus on innovative software features to separate it from competitors.

Motorola has already confirmed the existence of the Moto X, the company’s upcoming flagship, and has said it will be the “first smartphone that you can design yourself.”

As of yet we’re not quite sure what that means, but could provide users with a basis body smartphone akin to the Google Nexus 4 that they can then customise the case of.

Jelly Flop Android Game Review

Jelly Flop: Help the poor and helpless ocean critter fulfil his dreams to fly!

Concrete Software are living up to their name by delivering a solid and thoroughly entertaining Physics game.  Don’t let the flimsy and whimsical name deceive you – this is a smash hit game for sure and the millions of downloaders would be testament to this fact!

Gameplay

A poor little jellyfish is hanging on a ledge and he’s dropped to his doom.  Your job is to place bouncy platforms to repel him towards the magical feather.  The ultimate goal is to get enough feathers so that he can have wings so he won’t keep falling into trouble!

Along the way you should collect the water droplets … just because that’s what a truly skilled hero would do.  Anyway… the poor bugger is somehow flying through the sky and is clearly out of his element, so you may as well do something good for the critter!

Slick Controls

Very intuitive drag and release controls are used to create the platforms.  Each of the end points can be moved around afterwards, or the whole platform can be dragged around.  You can’t litter the screen with reflectors though because you have a limited supply of the stuff – it’s clearly represented by the pink bar in the bottom left corner of the screen.  The only slight thing which might not be totally automatic knowledge is that a double tap will remove the platform.  (It is explained in the tutorial so you will know this if you don’t skip through all the instructions.)

Beach harmony

It’s been so long since I’ve been so enlightened by a game!  The lively tropical music is interwined with real sounds from the sea taking you for the full beach-side experience.  As the jelly-fish bounces and wobbles his way around the screen I’m totally mesmerised and reaching the final feather has so much satisfaction.

Probably the best thing about this game is its Angry Birds fun factor – anyone can pick it up to play and enjoy it.  If you’re unsure about a level then you can just build your path slowly because you can test your setup anytime and a trail of where the jelly fish travelled will be left behind.  The platforms will stay in place too so you don’t have to keep redrawing them.  This way no one can get stuck and it’s up to yourself to control yourself and set your own difficulty.

Rating: 5/5  Addictive and amazing – it must be downloaded by all. It’s been a long time since we’ve come across such a fun and original game! 100 levels for free – what more could you ask for?

Jelly Flop Tips and Tricks:

  • The longer you draw your rubber reflectors then the more accurate the angle of your platform.  This in turn will give you more control over the jelly-fish reflection.  So if you’re having problems controlling the bounce direction then draw longer platforms.
  • You don’t have unlimited rubber so if you did extend the platform length as per the above tip then I suggest reducing the platform after you’ve confirmed that you have the correct angle.
  • If you’re a true elitist then you should try using the shortest reflectors you can – it should increase your level score.
  • Sometimes you can have scenarios where you’ve got the right angle but you’ve missed a water droplet by a smidgen.  In those scenarios you should drag the whole reflector around so you don’t lose your angle of reflection.

Archos CEO ‘Your phone is going to control ten smart accessories’

With the smart accessories market continuing to increase in popularity, Archos has predicted that users’ smartphones will soon be used to control 10 completely separate smart devices.

Although smartwatches and fitness trackers currently dominate the smart devices scene, a number of home automation and health monitors have recently made it to market causing manufacturers to predicting rapid growth for the sector.

“Each smartphone is being used more and more to control many things,”Archos CEO Loic Poirier said speaking exclusively with TrustedReviews. “In the market, very soon, your smartphone is going to control five to ten different smart accessories.”

Although devices such as the Nike FuelBand SE and Samsung Galaxy Gear currently account for most smartphone users’ connected accessories, it has been suggested that soon we will be using our handsets to manage all manner of products.

“Soon you’re going to buy an activity tracker and you’re going to buy something for monitoring sport such as tennis or golf,” the Archos CEO told us.

“You’re going to buy things for your health that will control your back. You’re going to buy things for your health such as blood pressure measurers. You’re going to buy things for your home, cameras, motion sensors, a weather station.”

Although it is not expected that consumers will rush out to buy handfuls of smart accessories overnight, discussing a timeframe Poirier stated: “Ten devices would mean around 10 billion smart accessories in the next two to three years.”

Looking at what he expects to be the biggest growth area for smart devices market, he added: “In those 10 billion, home is going to be where the dramatic change will be. For the past 20 years people have been dreaming about home automation.”

Samsung Galaxy S5 release date news rumours specs and price

As the Samsung Galaxy S5 release date edges ever nearer, a number of Samsung Galaxy S5 rumours have continued to point to the eagerly awaited handset packing a QHD display.

With a collection of claimed apk files from the handset having surfaced online, one has made reference to the phone packing a QHDdisplay with a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution, while the other has suggested the device will sport an integrated fingerprint scanner.

Although it has been suggested that the Samsung Galaxy S5will be formally unveiled in the run up to MWC 2014, Samsung has so far remained more casual on the phones launch window, telling TrustedReviews that a Samsung Galaxy S5 release date will be held in Q1.

Away from the phoness arrival, a senior company exec recently stated that the Samsung Galaxy S4 successor will have a focus on the screen and "feel" of the smartphone, while a selection of leaked photos suggest the S5 could even feature a brand new UI.

Although one of the most frequently repeated Samsung Galaxy S5 rumours is the phones move to an all new, premium metal body, the company has informed us that this might not be the case after all. In a recent interview, Kyle Brown, Head of Technical Product Management within Samsung’s IM division which covers smartphones, tablets and wearables, told us: "I don’t believe Samsung will go down the route of making a metal device just because other manufacturers are.”

Ensuring you are kept of all the latest Samsung Galaxy S5 release date news and handset rumours, we will continue to update this post all the way until the iPhone 6 rival enters the realms of reality.

Samsung Galaxy S5 News

While a number of recent Samsung Galaxy S5 rumours have claimed the phone will become the first handset to run the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, the chipset manufacturer has hinted that this might not be the case.

With the Samsung Galaxy S5 release date tipped for Q1, speaking with TrustedReviews, Qualcomms Vice President of Marketing has revealed he does not expect the first Snapdragon 805 device to land until "mid-2014".

Giving an insight into the phones upcoming abilities, in late 2013, claimed Samsung Galaxy S5 benchmarks appeared suggesting that, despite making a jump to a rival 64 bit processor, the S5 will be slower than the iPhone 5S.

While reports have suggested that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 clocked a score of 3303.88 in a Rightware Browsermark test, the recording is slower than both the iPhone 5Ss score of 3669.91 and even the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 which clocked 3353.07.

While the leaked Samsung Galaxy S5 benchmarks have suggested the phone will be less powerful than the iPhone 5S, further reports suggested that in a bid to save money on production costs, Samsung will drop the flagship phone from its usual AMOLED panel to a cheaper LCD offering.

However, fresh reports have suggested that the Galaxy S5 will abandon AMOLED  technology in fabour of an LTPS LCD display, due to production difficulties with the 2K resolution AMOLEDs.

This is supported by the fact Samsung recently purchased a 3 per cent stake in Sharp, meaning it isnt out of the question for Sharp to manufacture screens for the next Samsung flagship.

Recently, it has been suggested that the Korean manufacturer will hold a Samsung Galaxy S5 release date in March 2014. Now, a Samsung Mobile exec has confirmed that the S5 is on target for a March/April release date alongside the second-generation Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch.

There are also rumours that the Galaxy S5 could launch with a premium Samsung Galaxy F handset, offering specs at the very top of those currently available.

Elsewhere, Samsung recently teased a range of potential Samsung Galaxy S5 features. Speaking at its annual Analyst Day in Seoul, South Korean, the manufacturer has suggested that its 2014 phones (i.e. the Samsung Galaxy S5) will boast impressive 2560 x 1440 pixel displays as well as 16-megapixel ISOCELL camera sensors and as much as 4GB of RAM.

Whats more, while recent Samsung Galaxy S5 rumours have pointed to the device trading in its less than impressive plastic build in favour of a new metal option, Samsung itself has stated the phone will support a 64-bit processor. While it might copy the iPhone 5S CPU, Samsung has stated the S5 will not feature an integrated fingerprint scanner.Ensuring it is not left behind, latest Samsung Galaxy S5 news has once again seen the upcoming handset tipped to run a 64-bit processor, similar to that found in the new iPhone 5S.

While Samsung’s CEO of Mobile Shin Jong-Kyun recently stated that "yes, our next smartphones will have 64-bit processing functionality," reports of production issues had hinted this feature might not drop until later in 2014 aboard the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Now, however, the Samsung Galaxy S5 looks set to be on the receiving end, of the PC-esque processor.

“According to the latest bits of information coming from Samsung’s homeland, the company is pretty much done with developing its in-house 64-bit CPU,” tech blog GforGames has reported. They added: “From our understanding, Samsung went past the more difficult parts of creating the CPU, and the chip is almost ready for its release.”

Further reports have suggested the Samsung Galaxy S5 release date will see the handset line up with 3GB of RAM in tow. A feature that has also been mooted for the imminent Samsung Galaxy Note 3, the S5s expansive RAM has been hinted at after the companys latest development announcement.

Speaking in recent weeks, Samsung confirmed that it had started mass production of the first 3GB low power DDR3 RAM chips for mobile devices. With the Samsung Galaxy S5 set to be the manufacturers new flagship phone, it makes sense that it will run the companys latest developments and most advanced components.

A chip that could spell more than increased speeds and improved multitasking capabilities, the Samsung Galaxy S5 RAM improvement could result in a slimmer phone with a bettery battery life. An official spokesperson for the company stated: "Samsungs new ultra-slim memory solutions will enable thinner smartphone designs and allow for additional battery space, while offering a data transfer speed of up to 2,133 megabits per second (Mbps) per pin."

Samsung Galaxy S5 Release Date

Samsung Mobile Executive Vice President, Lee Young Hee, was recently quoted as stating the Samsung Galaxy S5 release date will lie in March or April, launching alongside the Galaxy Gear 2 smartwatch.

"Weve been announcing our first flagship model in the first half of each year, around March and April, and we are still targeting for release around that time. When we release our S5 device, you can also expect a Gear successor with more advanced functions, and the bulky design will also be improved," said Lee.

Its a bit of a relief to have some concrete release date info, even if it is a little unsurprising. Like its bitter rival Apple, Samsung has become something of a fan of strict annual product cycles for its leading product lines and as such has become a little bit predictable.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 hit UK retailers on April 26 after a dedicated New York launch event on March 14. The Samsung Galaxy S3 went into stores on May 29 2012 and all the way back in 2011, the Samsung Galaxy S2 launched on May 1.

Although it is believed the Samsung Galaxy S5 will hit retailers in March, it has been suggested that the phone will be unveiled during a pre-MWC 2014 press conference on February 23.

“Samsung Galaxy S5 launch – 18.00. Barcelona. 23 February. Price the same. Launch – end of April. Specs – u know them. New touchwiz," Mobile Review editor and serial launch date tipster, Eldar Murtazin Tweeted recently.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Rumours

Samsung Galaxy S5 rumours have been doing the rounds for quite some time now. The most prominent Samsung Galaxy S5 rumours to date, however, all focus on one area of the currently unconfirmed phone – its design.

With the Samsung Galaxy S4 having been widely criticised for its plastic form factor which failed to match up to the brushed metal highlights of the iPhone 5 or HTC One, Samsung is widely expected to adopt an all new finish for the S5, with new aluminium body repeatedly tipped.

The Galaxy S5 will most likely forego the flexible, curved form factor introduced with the Samsung Galaxy Round and LG G Flex, due to low yield rates and increased costs.

"The current capacity for flexible panels is not high enough for the Galaxy S5, which will be rolled out early next year," suggested Kim Jong-hyen, an analyst at Seoul-based Eugene Investment & Securities.

According to unnamed “sources close to the South Korean phone maker,” recent reports have suggested that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will be used to launch a new ‘Design 3.0’ standard within the company.

The sources stated: “While we don’t have the slightest idea what Design 3.0 really means in terms of looks, we can now confirm that Samsung will start to use aluminium for its high-end smartphones, and the Samsung Galaxy S5 will be the first one to receive this treatment.”

Further hinting at a change in design and materials, Samsung recently acquired carbon fibre specialist the SGL Group, announcing in an official statement that it would be using the high-end lightweight materials in future phones and tablets.

"Lightweight materials have become an important factor not only in industrial applications but also the consumer end markets such as digital media," Yoosung Chung, President & CEO of Samsung Petrochemical said. He added: "This partnership will position Samsung as a leading player in the development and application of carbon fibre-based products.”

"The cooperation is expected to provide a stable long-term supply of carbon fibre materials for Samsung and promote its use in various Samsung products and applications such as consumer electronics, medical devices and engineering applications,"

Samsung Galaxy S5 Specs

With the Samsung Galaxy S4 having taken smartphone specs to the next level, it is widely expected that the South Korean manufacturer will continue with a similar trend with the next-generation S5. Although few areas of the phone’s features list have yet been rumoured, certain elements have already been teased.

In January, it was rumoured that the Galaxy S5 could feature a brand new UI, a 2014 edition of the Samsung TouchWiz UX that sports a whole new redesign.

Earlier this month a Samsung design patent leaked (above) showing off a new angled-edged phone which has been mooted to the be the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5.

As you can see in the leaked UI screengrabs above, Samsung may introduce design tweaks with the S5 TouchWiz, offering a more mature feel to its currently slightly cartoonish UI.

This brand new UI could also run on a 5.25-inch QHD 2K resolution display that has recently entered production, stepping up the 5-inch Full 1080p HD screen of the S4.

The QHD panel would offer a stunning resolution of 2560 x 1440p with a 560ppi image density for sublime image quality and make it king of the current smartphone displays.

Based on an outed design filing, the phone will run a version of Google’s Android operating system (no surprises there then) as well as integrated cameras front and back.

Other recently emerged Samsung Galaxy S5 rumours have claimed the upcoming handset will make use of a new 16-megapixel smartphone camera sensor, offing high-end snaps that could finally spell the end for the dedicated compact camera.

According to further leaks, the Samsung Galaxy S5 specs sheet will see the new 16-megapixel camera sensor further bolstered by optical image stabilisation features. The revised camera component is said to be under development in Korea to replace the 13-megapixel snapper found on the existing S4.

Recent reports have claimed that the Samsung Galaxy S5 could be wrapped within a Samsung Galaxy S4 Active esque waterproof coating.

Samsung has also developed an 8GB RAM chip, just in time for the Galaxy S5 launch. The South Korean electronics giant announced the chip at the end of 2013, calling the new chip "the industrys first eight gigbit (Gb), low power double data rate 4 (LPDDR4), mobile DRAM".

The chip should use around 40 per cent less battery power and help power higher resolution displays.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Price

Although the Samsung Galaxy S5 price is a long way from being confirmed, it has already been suggested that the S5 will cost more than its already pricey predecessor.

According to the same unnamed sources who have claimed a metal bodied design will be bestowed upon the next-gen handset, the Samsung Galaxy S5 price will be bumped up by the new premium building materials.

Stay tuned for more Samsung Galaxy S5 news and rumours as more details on the S4 follow-on continue to appear.

Motorola Moto G has ‘shaken up the market’ says Three

The Motorola Moto G and Google Nexus 5 have ‘shaken up’ the smartphone market, network provider Three has suggested.

Motorola Moto G

Speaking on the current state of the handset sector, retailer Three has claimed that the budget Motorola and high-specced Nexus 5 are forcing rival manufacturers to alter their approach to the smartphone space.

“The Moto G and Google Nexus 5 have absolutely shaken up the market,” Three’s Product Portfolio Manager Brendan Arndt said.

Launched last November as a mid-range smartphone with an entry-level price tag, the Motorola Moto G, which can be snapped up for just £100, features a 4.5-inch 720p HD display alongside a 1.2GHz quad-core PCU and 1GB of RAM.

Adding a 5-megapixel rear-mounted camera and the choice of 8GB or 16GB of internal storage, the Motorola Moto G became an instant hit, with the wallet friendly price tag meaning many consumers could bypass costly 24 month contracts.

Discussing the Moto G’s new approach to smartphone pricing, Arndt stated: “It will absolutely put pressure on the other guys to up their game a bit.”

The Moto G is not alone in its efforts to push the smartphone sector in a new direction either. The Three Portfolio Manager highlighted the LG-manufactured Google Nexus 5 as another handset that has ‘shaken up’ how consumers view their smartphone buying habits.

“The Nexus is absolutely one of those phones that people will buy outright, because it’s a good deal, and not just buy it on a network,” the Three official said.

While the Motorola Moto G and Google Nexus 5 might have led the way, Arndt believes they are only the start of a larger movement.

“All the vendors are looking at giving consumers a bit more value, and bringing 4G down,” he said and added: “Moto G and Nexus 5 have challenged all the other vendors to do that.”

Samsung Galaxy S5 may feature fingerprint sensor under screen

Samsung is planning to incorporate a fingerprint sensor into the Samsung Galaxy S5, according to a recent report, and you might not even be able to see it.

Yesterday we brought you news of a rumoured iris sensor solution for the Samsung Galaxy S5, which would scan your eye rather than your finger.

According to the Korea Herald, however, Samsung will abandon that idea in favour of a more established security measure. Like the iPhone 5S, it claims, the Samsung Galaxy S5 will be able to read your fingerprint.

Unlike Apple’s latest flagship phone, though, the Samsung Galaxy S5 won’t require a designated input area for reading your print. Rather, the report suggests that Samsung will built the technology into the screen itself.

This would mean that your fingerprint could be read in the normal process of interacting with the touch display.

The report claims that Samsung has abandoned the ambitious iris sensor solution because of its unsuitability for use in certain general and low light situations, such as in bed or when driving (though were sure you shouldnt be doing that anyway).

Regardless of the type of security sensor employed in Samsung’s next flagship phone, it’s expected to feature a 2K LCD display (that’s 2560 x 1440), a 20-megapixel camera, a 64-bit processor, and a meaty 2,900mAh battery.

It’s also been rumoured that Samsung will abandon its much maligned plastic-heavy approach in favour of a premium metal design.

Samsung has confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will launch in March or April, alongside an improved Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch.

How To Install Android 4 4 2 Kit Kat ROM in HTC One X CyanogenMod 11

HTC One is one of the best devices in the list of android devices. The device is not at all AOSP, but stuffed with so many features which makes it an awesome Android device and I am sure you are enjoying your HTC One X? But why just to enjoy it on stock UI? I know the stock UI of HTC One is quite better than of Micromax, Karbonn, XOLO and other chinese brands, but still there are some features that even the stock ROM of HTC One X doesnt have.
HTC One X is a fast device, I mean it has good specifications, but somewhere you might have faced lags, isnt it? It is because of heavy stock UI and to fix this problem, or to replace the stock ROM, I am going to show you how you can upgrade your HTC One X to Android 4.4 KitKat by CyanongenMod 11 ROM.

HTC One has a 4.7 inch display with 312 ppi pixels density and an HD display which makes the device handy and better for gaming. Oh, it also has HTC Sense UI, I forgot to mention this. The screen of HTC One X is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. Super crisp camera of 8 Mega Pixels allows you to take awesome and bright pictures. Secondary camera can also record HD videos at 720p HD.
Added with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the One X has Nvidia Tegra 3 chipset which is really fast and provides good display. Moving to the CPU, I would like to say that the processor is also very fast. It has a Quad-Core 1.5 GHz. HTC One Xs UI is also provided from Nvidia. It has Nvida ULP GeForce GPU which also enhances gaming experience. There are many other features, which will make this article too long so I will skip them and will move to the ROM.
I have already posted CyanongenMod ROM update for many HTC, Sony and Samsung devices and none of the users have reported any error or issue for the ROM. For example, I posted CM 11 ROM for Sony Xperia Z, Sony Xperia Sola, Samsung Galaxy S I9000,  Motorola Moto G, HTC One Mini, Nexus 5. I always post CM ROM because the firmware is highly trustable, I mean I know that the ROM has no issues like of calls, messages etc.

Samsung Galaxy S5 camera to sport 16MP ISOCELL sensor

New Samsung Galaxy S5 leaks have appeared with the upcoming handset tipped to benefit from a 16-megapixel rear-mounted camera with an ISOCELL sensor.

Offering a range of details on future product developments at its annual Analyst Day in Seoul, South Korea yesterday, Samsung has hinted that the Samsung Galaxy S5 camera will see its flagship phone line make the jump to a new 16-megapixel ISOCELL sensor.

Suggesting that the improved camera optics will be used as the “main sensor” for its leading smartphone offerings in 2014, the manufacturer has all but confirmed that the 16-megapixel snapper will be fitted to not only the Samsung Galaxy S5, but the larger, stylus-bragging Samsung Galaxy Note 4 too.

With the Samsung Galaxy S4 currently running a 13-megapixel snapper, the ISOCELL elements of the S5 camera will enable the phone to offer better low-light shooting, as well as improving colour reproduction and image sharpness.

Far from the only Samsung Galaxy S5 feature to be teased at the Samsung Analyst Day, yesterday it was suggested that the phone, already tipped for a Q1 2014 unveiling, will play host to a new 2560 x 1440 pixel display.

As well as an improved resolution, the WQHD panel will reportedly see a staggering 550 pixels-per-inch image density introduced, making the S5 a considerable step above its smartphone rivals in visual terms.

Other Samsung Galaxy S5 specs already confirmed include the move to an iPhone 5S mimicking 64-bit processor.

Responding to questions on the subject recently, Samsung’s CEO of Mobile, Shin Jong-Kyun stated: “Yes, our next smartphones will have 64-bit processing functionality.”
